Elora Gorge/David Street Bridge Engagement Session



Elora Gorge. It’s charming, it’s romantic, and it somehow makes every couple look like they belong in a movie.


This engagement session at Elora Gorge/David Street Bridge was a total yes from start to finish. The light was perfect, the location was stunning (as always), and this couple? So in love.


There's a little trek down to this well-known spot with the bridge in the background, and of course a bit of a walk around, but it's so worth it. A gorgeous location that doesn't require hours of hiking to get to. The mix of historic architecture, soft stone, and that perfect view of the river always gets me. It’s romantic without trying too hard.


We pretty much started with some images right near the water, and worked our way up from there. After waiting patiently for our turn on the very popular, very photogenic spot on the rock, we took a variety of images similar to this.

From by the river to walking around, we took some time on the trails and got to know each other on a more personal level. And so did the mosquitos. While this spot is certainly beautiful, I suggest bringing some bug spray. But if any insects do get in the images? Photoshop zap-em-out. 🪄

The pure vastness of this location is one of my favourite things about it. Of course, there's some tree-crowded and covered trails, but there's also such a depth that can be brought into images. Which brings me to my next favourite spot here: David Street Bridge. Yes, the one from the background of the river images.

Between all the location changes, walking around, and capturing their chemistry, we definitely took our time with this session, and the sky started to call us out for it. Sunset was creeping in fast, so we decided to head back to where we started. But if you’ve ever been to Elora Gorge, you know about the lookout. It wasn’t nearly as busy as it was earlier, so of course we had to stop for a few last creative shots before we wrapped up.
