The studio is it's own private space located in a house. The entrance is through a shared corridor with two other units, but the studio itself is separate from the residential side of the house.
While the studio space is located on a residential property, I do not live there.
Studio sessions must be scheduled in advance, walk-ins cannot be accommodated.

FAQ
do you charge an additional fee to use the studio?
No. All standard session bookings include use of my studio space, unless specified at booking.
For example, extended family sessions require renting an alternate space if in-studio is preferred.
What sessions can be done in studio?
All standard session types: partnership, maternity, newborn, and immediate family.
I am no longer offering cakesmash or branding sessions.
The studio can accommodate up to 5-6 humans comfortably.
For studio sessions with larger groups, there are a variety of other studios I am happy to suggest.
Is the studio natural light?
There is one large window in the studio that often provides beautiful light. There is also a smaller window that helps open up the space, but doesn't directly impact the use area.
Depending on the time of day or season of your session, I might put studio lights in this window to enhance the brightness produced.
Due to there being a significant opening to natural light in the studio, there are some variations in colour between sessions.
Can we wear shoes in the studio?
Absolutely! I just ask that the shoes are clean from any dirt and debris. Depending on the weather, you may need to bring a change of shoes.
Do you have props/what is the set up?
I've played around a lot with different sets ups in studio. Bedroom theme, couch/no couch, boho vibes with pampas grass and rattan rugs, etc.
I've decided, for now anyway, that I love the simple and elegant look of a minimalist studio. White flooring, off white curtains, and yourselves. This set up really helps pull the focus to your expression and connection. I do have some seating options to use for some variety, but for the most part the studio will be as shown above. (Unless set up for holiday minis.)
When is the studio available?
This studio is 100% my space. It is available to book for sessions year round, with most clients choosing a studio session in the colder months.
There are no blackout dates to use the studio. As long as I am available to book your session, the studio space will be available to use.
Studio sessions are best held during the times of day that are brightest, since there are sources of natural light.
The only thing that might 'interrupt' standard use of the studio is when it is set up for Christmas holiday mini sessions. The space is usually decorated for these around late October-early January every year. You are still welcome to use the studio for a standard session, but it will remain decorated as I have it.
Is there parking?
Yes! There is parking on site, at the front and back sides of the house.
The only ask is to leave the spot closest to the BBQ open as it is reserved for another tenant.
Otherwise you are free to park in any spot that is convenient for you. I usually leave the spot closest to the door open for clients to use.
Is there a washroom?
There is not a washroom inside the studio, but there is a washroom available to use if needed.
The studio is on a property with two other residential units. I have access to the common areas of the one unit that include use of the washroom.
On occasion, the homeowners will request to have the washroom access closed. I will notify you before your session if this is the case.
Is the studio located in the big barn garage building?
No, the studio is technically located within the house on the property. However, it is a separate space from the residential side of the house. The studio is built in a converted car garage.
